Health Care Assistant -- Part-time - $8.00/hr
Duties include back office exam room patient intake including taking vitals and assistance with triage procedures. Front desk duties include good computer skills, adequate telephone skills and taking accurate messages and appropriately following through. Qualifications include H.S. diploma and some college hours preferred. Experience in a medical office setting and able to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to multitask with good organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle responsibilities with maturity and reliability. Customer service oriented and willingness to cross-train with other clinic sites.
*Charge Entry Clerk - $7.75/hr
Responsible for capturing charges for services rendered into practice management system. Takes patient`s payments, enters receipts and reconciles payments at the end of the day. Qualifications include high school diploma and experience in a high paced medical setting. Experience in CPT and ICD-9 codes preferred or formal training. 10 key by touch and data entry skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and ability to multi-task. Customer service oriented. Willingness to cross-train, work different schedules including extended hours and flexibility to work at different clinic sites as necessary.
(2) Billing Clerk - Temporary PRN - $8.00/hr
Captures all assigned new patients with Managed Care. Verifies insurance, follows up on outstanding balances and counsels patients on a payment plan. Qualifications include H.S. diploma or GED, formal training in CPT and ICD 9 preferred. Experience in a medical setting preferred or certified as an MOS. Good customer service and telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, 10 key calculator.
