The Executive Director leads a management team that includes the Medical Director, the Director of Clinical Operations, Finance Director, Dental Director, Human Resources Manager, Compliance Officer, Director of Marketing and Development, and the MIS Administrator. All ancillary departments and facilities along with the Director of Nursing, and the Customer Relations Supervisor, report to the Clinical Operations Director.

The Medical Director has administrative and clinical responsibility for the medical staff. A Department Chief oversees each of the three medical departments (Pediatrics, Women’s Center, and Adult Medicine) and reports to the Medical Director. BCHC now has 7 internal medicine specialists and one Family Medicine provider. The Pediatric Department covers both the Pedi Clinic at the main clinic and the two school-based clinics. Three full time pediatricians and two mid-level practitioner are responsible for the care of the current caseload of over 7,100 children. Two OB-Gyn physicians, along with two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, staff the Women’s Care Center. Last year 805 prenatal patients were seen, with 602 babies delivered by BCHC providers. The Campus Care Centers, staffed with a site coordinator, clerk, medical assistant, social worker and a provider served 2,639 school children last year.

The Dental Department, under the direction of the dental director, is able to provide preventive, restorative, and emergency care for their patients. Two dentists and a dental hygienist served 2,983 dental patients with 11,992 encounters in 2006. BCHC also serves as a rotation site for dental students from the UTHSC-SA Dental School.

The Finance Department includes billing and collections, the Controller’s Office, Purchasing, Housekeeping and Facility Support, and Security.
